Definitely one of the best dark sky spots near GTA. The sad part is, this place is getting worse, as it has become more popular, you have more, how should I put it.... inconsiderate people visiting the place. If you are visiting this place, please, do not have your flashlight pointed towards other people!!!!! If you can't see or you are afraid of the dark, try to minimize it by pointing it towards the ground!!! You have to remember, that one/group you just flashed, they may go through that close to 20 times when there is a astronomical event. If you are in a group, just have one or two flash lights, you really don't need a flash light per person. When you are driving don't turn on your high beams!!!!

Dark sky preserve and crown land, Canadian citizens can camp for free up to 21 days, (there are no facilities, bathrooms, or lights due to its status as a conservation area) international visitors require a permit to camp. Great for viewing the stars with no substantial light pollution nearby. Several trails that snake through the park along exposed granite bluffs. Beautiful wetlands if you don't mind the bugs.

Nice granite platform to spread out. Winding access if going through 11 then 13. It's better if you take the north west way from the 400

Great place to stargaze. Bring a camping chair, blanket, camera and tripod and enjoy the night sky.

Almost zero light pollution and not so far away from Toronto. Don't forget to bring a blanket with you since it might get quite chilly in Fall. Unfortunately, there aren't much accommodation places around. Very good spot for stargazing, night/long exposure photography. I would recommend coming to the place in the morning to get an idea of the open space since it is hard to navigate in dark.
